Press Release - FFA uses Social Media Famous AI voice for ad

PAC SUPPORTING LARRY KIDD IN OHIO’S SECOND CONGRESSIONAL
DISTRICT ENLISTS “SOCIAL MEDIA FAMOUS” AI VOICE FOR VIDEO AD

MARIETTA, OH [2/28/24] – You might recognize the voice in a new video ad promoting Larry Kidd for Congress. First for America PAC chose a unique path for the spot entitled “Washington Needs Larry Kidd,” enlisting the help of an AI announcer.

This AI voice is social media famous as a familiar narrator in social media reels.

First for America Chairman David Locke said it was an interesting experiment to tinker with AI voices.

“We’ve worked with some great voice over talent over the years,” Locke said. “But this one was the easiest – type in the script, and get back a familiar voice helping to share the important reasons we’re supporting Larry Kidd for Congress.”

Locke said that there were dozens of voices from which to choose, but having a voice familiar to those who watch reels online made the final choice an easy one. He also spoke to the remarkable advanced technology.

“We’d type in the same words and the AI engine would give us a slightly different read each time,” Locke said. “By playing with punctuation, capitalization and spacing it’s possible to really hone the computer-generated inflection.”

In the ad, an independent expenditure no associated with Kidd’s campaign, First for America highlights Larry Kidd’s conservative credentials – pro-life, pro-gun, pro border security, and the only candidate in the race who stood with Donald Trump at the Supreme Court defending the President’s right to appear on the ballot.

“We’re proud to support Larry Kidd and excited to bring a little AI innovation to the race,” Locke continued. “Maybe it’ll go viral. Certainly the message should go viral with Republican primary voters because we truly do need Larry Kidd in Washington.”
